In the past year, the Community Bike Collective has repurposed over 100 bikes for those in need throughout Santa Cruz County! We have found that our simple model of collecting donated bikes, refurbishing them, and giving them away to deserving folks brings joy at each stage of the process. Those smiles encourage us to continue, and we hope you feel the same.

Worried about the condition of your old bike or its size? We will accept any bike size and, as long as it isn’t completely rusted, we will do our best to bring it back to life.

REFURBISH

If bike maintenance is your area of expertise, or if you’d like to learn how to fix a flat tire, we would love your help. Our bike maintenance volunteers meet quarterly to repair donated bikes and prepare them for a new home. If you are part of a local organization that has identified a low-income resident, youth, or adult in Santa Cruz County who needs a bike, please complete this form, and we will do our best to match that individual with a suitable bike. Bikes will be distributed quarterly following our maintenance events. A member of our team will be in touch with more details.
