Within the last year, the Community Bike Collective has repurposed over 100 bikes to those in need throughout Santa Cruz County! We have found that our simple model of collecting donated bikes, refurbishing them and giving then them away to deserving folks, brings joy at each stage of the process. Those smiles make us want to continue and we hope you feel the same way.

Worried about the condition of your old bike or the size? We will take any size bike and, as long as it isn’t completely frozen with rust, we will do our best to bring it back to life.

REFURBISH

If bike maintenance is your area of expertise or if you’d just like to learn how to fix a flat tire, we would love to have your help. Our bike maintenance volunteers gather quarterly to fix up donated bikes and get them ready for a new home. If you are a part of a local organization that has identified a low-income resident, youth or adult, of Santa Cruz County who is in need of a bike, please fill out this form and we will do our best to match that individual with a suitable bike. Bikes will be given away quarterly after our maintenance events. A member of our team will be in touch with more details.
