The Community Bike Collective’s Bike Turnover Program, a program that refurbishes donated bikes and gifts them to those in need throughout the county, is excited to announce a partnership with the Housing Authority of Santa Cruz County. The Housing Authority has generously offered to host 2 giveaway events per year to place CBC’s refurbished bikes with deserving families throughout the county. After teaming up prior to the holiday season last year for the first time, the duo met for a back to school giveaway event on August 26th. So far 62 bikes have been gifted through this partnership.
