Help us transform the community

Two wheels. One community. Endless possibility

We need superheroes

Board member

We’re seeking 1–3 individuals to join our volunteer board and help lead CBC. The board meets quarterly to guide our mission and ensure our readiness. Members provide leadership in areas such as fundraising, communications, and organizational development. Ideal candidates are collaborative, motivated to give back, and dedicated to supporting our riding community.

Ride Leader

Ride Leaders are the heart of the Community Bike Collective. You’ll plan and lead group rides that welcome cyclists of all abilities — from first-timers to experienced riders — fostering community, joy, and safe cycling habits.

Bike Mechanic

You’ll keep donated and community-owned bikes rolling, teach repair skills to members and the public, and help ensure everyone — regardless of income — has access to a safe, reliable bicycle.

Community Programs

You’ll plan, coordinate, and oversee programs that connect underserved community members with bicycles, safety education, and ongoing cycling support — from earn-a-bike initiatives to youth outreach and low-income repair assistance.

Interested in getting involved? We’d love to hear from you. Reach out to info@communitybikecollective.org

Ready to make a difference? Donate a bike, help refurbish one, request support, or lead a ride — every action moves our community forward.

Donate

To donate a bike, please complete the form below. Our team will contact you to match your bike with someone in need. We accept any bike that is not completely rusted, regardless of size or condition.

Refurbish

We’re looking for volunteers skilled in bike maintenance or those wanting to learn to fix flat tires. Join us quarterly to repair bikes for youths in need. Help give a deserving youth the freedom that comes with a bike. Sign up today.

Request

If you are part of a local organization that has identified a low-income resident, youth, or adult in Santa Cruz County who needs a bike, please complete this form. We will do our best to match that individual with a suitable bike.

Lead a Ride

The Community Bike Collective offers free rides for disadvantaged youth. We need your help! If you have bike skills and can connect with youth, please fill out this form to assist us on a ride.

7-8 Passenger Van or SUV

We’re in search of a new van or SUV to replace “Betty,” the trusty workhorse that has served us well but is now ready for retirement. We’re feeling a bit nostalgic, knowing how much she has contributed, and we would greatly appreciate your help in finding a suitable replacement.

Make a Donation

Donating to Community Bike Collective changes lives through the mountain biking experience. As an all-volunteer organization, your donations go directly to benefit kids.

Of course, we accept monetary donations, as well! Checks made payable to “Community Bike Collective” may be sent to:
