Happy Holidays everyone,
As we complete another trip around the Sun, we look back at another fun and successful year for Trips for Kids Santa Cruz. Here are just a few of our highlights from 2014.
- Took 169 kids mountain biking in our beautiful state parks for a total of 1,134 “miles of smiles”.
- Took an additional 413 kids thru Bike Rodeos at Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival, Open Streets Capitola, and Watsonville Family Fitness Challenge Day.
- Celebrated “Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day” in collaboration with the Monterey Off-road Cycling Association’s (MORCA) event in Toro Park. Over 100 kids participated in trail rides, skills courses, barbecue, and an incredibly generous raffle.
We provide the bikes, gear, transportation, lunches, and instruction. The kids provide the smiles. Of course, we couldn’t do any of it without your support. Thanks for all you do, helping us “change kids’ lives from the seat of a bike”.
